The most distinctive feature is the small whale emblem at 6 o’clock, a Bulova symbol associated with its water-resistant watches during this era. The watch features a gold-tone case with a striking vertically fluted bezel, silver-toned dial, applied hour markers, and the whale emblem prominently positioned above 6 o’clock.
The compact 33.8 mm case gives it the unmistakable proportions of a vintage dress watch, while the 42.8 mm lug-to-lug makes it very wearable on a modern wrist. It is currently fitted with an aftermarket green perforated leather racing strap that gives the otherwise traditional watch a fun vintage-sporting character.
The caseback is marked H475373 and features the period markings for Stainless Steel Back, Water Resistant, Shock Resistant and Anti-Magnetic.
